QuickTok does not collect, store, sell or share any personal data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no server.
What QuickTok does
- Runs a script on tiktok.com pages in Safari to start, unmute and (optionally) advance videos.
- Removes share-tracking parameters from video links on tiktok.com so they open in the normal player.
- Saves your three settings (Autoplay, Sound, Auto-scroll) and a count of auto-played videos in Safari's extension storage on your device.
- Saves the time the extension last ran on tiktok.com in a container shared only between the QuickTok app and its extension on the same device, so the app can confirm setup worked.
What QuickTok does not do
- It does not run on any website other than tiktok.com.
- It does not read your messages, account details, watch history or anything you type.
- It does not send any information to the developer or any third party.
- It does not use analytics, tracking or advertising frameworks.
Permissions
- Website access (tiktok.com) — needed to control the video player on that site.
- Storage — keeps your settings on your device.
- Native messaging — lets the extension tell the QuickTok app, on the same device, that it's working.
Deleting your data
Deleting the QuickTok app removes the extension and everything it stored.
Children
QuickTok collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
